Good question but not sure of the answer, they are a shaft-less design so I would assume they would work better on a dimmer if you were to try such a thing. I have heard that they have a very wide flow which is good.

Are these controlable with a Red sea wave maker pro. or say my profilux? Or do they have to be plugged into A Koralia controler?

These are controllable by whatever you plug them into whether it be a timer or a wavy sea controller/Profilux.
