![]() I have a 20G high with 150W MH + 2x96W actinics. This is borderline overkill so your T%s should be just fine. I don't use a sump or skimmer, just water changes are fine. With a little calc/alk dosing my SPS grow like mad.

![]() ok so im looking at 2 aqualife dual t5ho cuz thats what i can get near home, and a prizm deluxe. the skimmer says 18g for sps so if i add a 10g sump is it not good enough? if so ill find somthing else. and lights are 96w is that enough?

![]() I liked my simple 20g sps tank better than my 30g w/sump tank. It was easy to care for. Just water changes, no skimmer. Hang on the back AC 110 filter. I did use one of my MP 20,s for current but its easy to provide current in a 20g. The 110 even did a good chunk of that.
I did put a lot of rock in it though, a personal preference. My 4 bulb SWC T-5 unit provided more than enough light, as the corals grew good but they all browned out. I believe that to be because only one actinic was used and 3 cheaper 10K bulbs. With the proper bulbs, its my opinion the colours would have been better but would have to do it first to see.
