![]() I would guess they are blue sponges....hard to see it.... a closer pick would be great!
![]() I should also get my eyes checked... apparently I can't read either. ![]() Last edited by Leah; 02-21-2010 at 10:20 PM. |

![]() If they have the shape of a pinnapple then they are pinnapple sponges.

![]() Yes leave them as they are good. Will wax/wane depending on the nutrients in the tank.

![]() I've tied 6 different cameras now and various lighting conditions and still not able to get anything closer. Even in Photoshop, I'm not able to pull anything better than that pic right now.
These are not the pineapple sponges though I do have some of those as well. I've been "stalking" the tank too to find if anything comes out of them at night with no luck on there either. It also doesn't look like blue sponges when I google those. They are quite white/greyish actually. Thanks for the ideas though, keep them coming. One day we'll figure this out or I'll get my hands on a better camera. One or the other.... Might have to dig out the trusty 35mm camera next, LOL.

![]() I have those too. They are a sponge but I haven't been able to ID them exactly. They are harmless and, if they are the same as the ones I have, they go through some cool morphological changes as they mature. Keep 'em!

![]() Here's a few more pics of the same thing. FINALLY had success with googling the camera macro online and got some tips. I wanted to ask about the little "grove" in the middle of the larger one too. The original pic didn't show it well at all but these ones do. Anyone know what they are? Another type of tube worm?
![]() ![]() ![]() And then there is this yellow "stuff". We are getting more and more of it. Should we be concerned? Been googling with no luck on it either. ![]() These are a little cluster of our tube worms. We already know what they are but I took a pic just because I finally had the camera settings figured out. We like 'em. ![]() ![]()
