![]() I'm making an overflow for my hob protein skimmer and was wondering if there was some formula for how many slots to make for the overflow.
Thanks Chad |

![]() make no slots. My new overflow is one continious lip over which water can flow smoothly. I am using a egg crate mesh on the inside to prevent critters from getting in.

![]() I don 't like that calculator. it says for 1200 gph you need a 1.43" pipe and 18" of linier overflow. 18" of what size teeth? and how deep are they cut?

![]() Just wondering.. If I want to do this overflow.. I need to have some sort of auto top off don't I? Otherwise this isn't really gonna work.
