Kalk is not a good way to raise your levels. It is best suited as a drip to MAINTAIN your levels. Use baking soda to raise your alk and something like Dowflake for your Cal. This calculator will tell you how much of each you need.

Where are you finding Dowflake? Or Magflake

Littlesilvermax for 1, but other places like univar in Vancouver, I actually got mine from a water services company i found by Googling (sp?).

Thank you very much for your information. Talking about baking soda, the one that normally can purchase in superstore? the one that using cleaning filter socks? Just want to make sure I am going to use the right product. Cheers.

Arm and Hammer Baking Soda. Superstore sells the BIG 2kg box. Most other places only sell the small 500g boxes.

Great. Thank you. I will pick up a box tomorrow, and try to start dosing very slowly to bring up the alk.
