![]() lots of trouble to see pics. I saw them earlier by copying the properties, but that didn't cache them. As for the coral, looks like digitata encroaching on an acro. My choice is nuke the montipora

![]() Wouldnt you risk nuking the acro at the same time? Nice coral, I'd just be nervous. What about breaking the colony off?

![]() Darn Imagestation! Same thing for me. First time going into the thread the pics won't come up. I push "back" and go in again and there they are.
Thanks Steve for uploading them onto your webspace! So nuking huh? Never thought of that. I think I'd have to be VERY careful around the acro/monti border since they're right up against each other, but I think I might try it. As far as breaking the acro off, I'm afraid that I would destroy the colony if I tried to do so. It's grown right onto the rock without a real "base". Also, even if I got the acro off it still doesn't solve the problem of this massive encrusting monti which will continue to spread at an alarming rate. Thanks again everyone ![]()

![]() from what I have found Monti is a weak coral and in my tank it was never able to take over any other coral. Having said that, I would watch it closely and see which coral actually is winning. If your monti behaves like mine used to, it will grow around the base of the acro without hurting the acro and you would have a way cool chunk of encrusted rock with a acro growing out of it.
