A few updates. Here are some random pictures of new "ish" frags. Haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them.

Pink Stylo

Some sort of Monti

Another some sort of Monti

Bright purple Acro

This is a frag I got from Lobsterboy a while ago, it's turned really really bright. It was pinkish when I got it, now it's practically the brightest coral in the tank.

This is a crayola table from Lobsterboy as well. It went through a bit of trouble (falling into my hammer coral - I lost half of it but now it's grown back), it has now almost doubled in size. It's in sort of a shaded area of the tank, but when it grows into the light it should colour up some, the tips are still coloured.

Growth sequence - Green Acro Sept 22 (Note, this is on the sandbed of a 24" tall tank. It is lit with a 150 watt halide for the duration of this growth)

Dec 31 (hard to take a picture as I have many corals around it now and it's been shaded for quite some time now). The growth surprises me because of all the shade and being at the bottom. I thought I'd have to move it, but instead of browning, it's coloured up even nicer.

Lastly, the last FTS of 2009 Den side:

Living room side:

Thanks for looking everyone. Happy New Year!! Thanks all for frags and advice in 2009. I have enjoyed this build so far and hopefully enjoy it even more for 2010.

Just found this thread today, i had fun caching up on the 44 pages Im really impressed on your tank build a lot of very interesting ideas. Im really liking all the sps corals.

I have a 30 gallon sps tank thats been running for about 3 month and just recently started to add some corals to it and was wondering what zeovite product your using?

I can just imagine how it looks in person!! Great job!!

Thanks Daniel

Thanks John,

Believe it or not, it's actually a Stylo (the mother colony that I got it from was about 12" accross and large and lumpy like your typical stylo, this was just a mutant growth off the side in which I convinced the owner to frag )

I'm looking forward to my tank growing out to your calibre!

Cheers

I can't believe the colours starting to take shape in that tank Dez...like WOW! When you're in the frag selling business (and it won't be long lol) I hope to be ready to jump in line!

Thanks Brett. The colours are better in person. I can't figure out stupid cameras - or maybe it's just me that's stupid. If I play with the exposure, the corals look washed. But then the full tank shots look so dim, it is so much brighter in person. Oh well, good thing I don't take pictures for a living.

I don't think I'll ever get into the frag selling business, I'd rather take it to my local store for credit for salt etc. Marine Aquaria is really good to me here for stuff like that. But for you Brett, when you're ready, you come on by and grab some frags that are available

When do you take possession of your new place? I pray that all is well with your wife and family!

Thanks for reading Daniel and the nice remarks. As for zeo products, this is what I use:

Coral Vitalizer
Sponge Power
Coral Amino Acids
(these I dose only half or less than half of recommended dosage)

Zeostart 2
Zeobak (twice a week)
Zeofood7 (twice a week)
(these are used in conjunction with the zeo reactor)

Thanks for reading.
