Personally I only epoxy my sps frags directly to the rock. The epoxy can be frustrating. What I have learned is that 9 of 10 times the expoxy comes off the rock but the frag will still be stuck in the epoxy. The key is to really work the expoxy into the liverock. Then firmly push the sps frag into the epoxy. Minimize adjustments to frag as the epoxy will un-bind with the rockwork. Visually check that the epoxy is still bonded to the rock. You may have to re-work the epoxy into the rockwork especially around the edges.

I personally like superglue (cyanoacrylate) when used properly!

I don't really like epoxy aside from making a good filler between rock and a plug.
