The Photo contest rule used to say "Entries should be a 640x480 format" This was to save on band width and allow people to view the page without hours of download time. It also makes all photo fare as they are all displayed in the same DPI and fiel size.
The rules no longer say that but I think it's far to those without high speed conections and to people who do not have that powerful a camera. I am only resizing to 1024X768 the most popular screen res J
