![]() Depends on the kind of clam as well. I had 3 Croceas that grew well ranging from 4-6 years and none of the 3 made it after my switch to a 5-bulb T5 system.

![]() Ya there are a lot of factors that can shift with different bulbs and such, best bet is stick to one that is a little more tolerant light wise

![]() I know of at least one person that has successfully kept clams under T5HOs. He had a 4 x 24W with individual reflectors, and successfully kept derasa and maxima clams in the upper half of the tank... I don't think I would try this with croceas though, I understand they need stronger light.
