Default fragging a Candy Cane?? How to??

How do I frag a candy cane? Do they grow enough that one can just snap off a cluster of heads? Mine has grown tripled the heads since I got it. Want to take a frag and put in my other tank. How would one go about this?

Its pretty easy actually....just cut it with coral snips or side cutters as far away from the living tissue as possible

fishytime is correct, use some sharp shears and cut the stalk at the base as far away from the flesh as possible.

Make sure to play some Barry White, light some candles and whisper some sweet nothings to it. HEHE, just kidding... Have Fun!

scissors work well if it isnt too thick, just be very careful if you try to snap it off by hand, i've seen that done and it doesnt always break as nice as you might like and its possible to lose a head or 3...

So, the heads have to be branched off and allready separated, growing on stalks? Mine is still bunched up cluster of about 9 heads, was 3 or 4 when I got it. but they are all right together.

yes it would be best to wait until they are no longer attached by any living tissue just the old skeleton before fragging it, i mean i've never tried cutting the tissue and they might heal i don't know but i figure why risk an open wound that might kill it?
