That's what I'm thinking, but if I look in the little holes, they might be sky blue.

I don't know what it is, but I sure do want a piece!
Where did you find this piece?
I would think Coral Master would have some idea of the name though, even if it is not the "common" name.

I almost grabbed that one in my last order. Maybe Ken ordered it and I can grab it when it comes in.

It looks like a cerealis or secale to me.

Thanks Nebthet, I will look those up and see if I can ID. (Edit: I don't think either of those are it, the corallites are very rounded, the coral almost appear bulbous and smooth, and the polyps are very small). To my untrained eyes, it almost looks like a branching Monti.)

The frag I got is actually from Fragalot although I noticed Coral Master does seem to have the same piece. There was a group order here (so no shipping fees) and I figured I would give it a shot since there were a few pieces on the $10 frag list that were very tempting. 3 of 5 frags looks great (bigger than expected too), one RTN'd about 60% (it was a huge frag though), and the last one was DOA. Still, I got 3 good frags, and a so so for $50. Not bad.

At first glance I thought it was an Acropora maryae (the same as the famed purple monster), but I'm not sure of that. Looks kind of like an Acrpora squarrosa too:

But then again, they're probably both wrong. Damn acropora IDs <_<

Jeez, I haven't even heard of most of these!!

You might be right with squarrosa...if not, that is very close. Definitely not maryae. After hunting around on that site you linked to above, I think it might be Acropora plantaginea. The color descriptions match too seeing as the base color is yellow-brown. That's a great site! Book marked it.
