Maybe you will luck out and he won't terrorize the other inhabitants. You are lucky enough to get one that eats prepared foods, you should really consider keeping him... he is a beautiful fish!

Now. that is some encouragement. I think i will give it a shot. If later he terrorize others, i will take him out. Hope, he is the unique one. He is taking pellets and mysis.

I guess it was the way you presented the information. Maybe if you had said "Clown tang are very difficult and will grow to be a very aggressive tang, I would recommend returning it and researching a different tang"

Well here goes nothing. I have had two clown tangs in my tanks. The first for almost 2 years with a yellow tang a bristle tooth, Vlamingi and naso I had no ongoing aggression between these tangs after the initial introductions. I have know doubt that I would still have them all if it had not been for my tank springing a leak and draining in the middle of the night, oh did that suck!
Now to the present. Powder blue, Clown, Red Sea sailfin, Regal, Convict, Red Sea bristle tooth and an Orange shoulder all live together for the most part peacefully. Im no expert but I keep my tank well fed, I have lots of rock with crevises and arches so there are lots of visual barriers and every tang has his own place to sleep. The only two that seem to show any aggression to each other are the Orange shoulder and the Powder Blue and only minor squabbles once and a while. These were the first two in the tank.
It can be done.

Another thing about this hobby is that there's always exceptions to the rules :-)

Nice to see that someone was able to successfully keep these clowns. I've eyed them for a while at the fish stores but all the ones that I have ever seen were always scared crapless and swimming around frantically from other fish in their tanks and weren't eating anything. If the powder brown does settle down and the clown is eating then it sounds like you might have good odds in your favour. Sounds like the clown tang could challenge the powder brown once the clown started to feel more comfortable. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

He is dying -( He can't compete to have enough food against my other fishes in the tank.

He is in my sum now and is very weak. Not sure what else i can do for him now.

if death is inevitable, put into a bag and into the freezer. quicker, very humane, easier to discard when garbage day comes. sorry to hear but more fishes die in the hands of hobbyists that we all care to admit.... including myself.

It is not a matter of competing for enough food.
Clown tangs are very difficult to keep and if they do survive will grow to be a very aggressive tang, I would recommend researching a different tang.
