Hey Dekay,
If you can afford it I would go for as much light as you can. SPS, LPS and clams all benifit from light you could even go for 400W, but I would definatly go for the 250W. you can mount the lights directly above the water to a max hight of about 16 inches. The skimmer I don't know much about sorry, only had a Red Sea. Hey is Dekay your last name as I have friends in Ontario with the same last name, any relation? J
