Here is a listing of the various eels available and their needs. Some or too large or almost impossible to keep.

I've been keeping a zebra moray eel 2' for about 4 months now. seems ridiculously hardy and eats whatever I give him. Pretty much stays in his cave unless there is something going on( feeding time)

I have a pair of dwarf golden morays in my display. Outstanding animals, very interesting, and very cool. Both the wife and I could not imagine the tank without them - we wish we had another one for the 50G starphire attached to the main system.

I've had a 2' snowflake for 4 years. I dont think you'll find too many people interested in selling (look for a retailer instead). I would have to take absolutely everything out of my tank in order to catch mine and it has never caused me any problems. I'd be far more likely to want to get rid of my tomato clown, purple tang or copperbanded butterfly as they've been the destructive ones in my reef.

The last time I was at Marine Aquaria in Edmonton they had a blue ribbon eel for sale and Big Al's usually has a snowflake eel or two for sale (I think they were only $30-$40).

Snowflake eel is ok but 90%+ of blue ribbon eels die within 30 days of purchase often polluting the tank and disturbing sensitive coral.

What size of tank and what you got in it Leducreef?
