I vote for digitization and use of Deb's.

What do we plan on using this logo for. We need to make sure it reduces and enlarges well (vector format therefore, preferably), also that it is easy/cheap to print (high resolution).

I like Quinn's first one - he seems to have time on his hands and the requisite skills.

Could the mountains be a little less cartoonish in their angles? And while I like the tang outline, it is definitely an "in-club" depiction (as in, no one else will have a clue what that cutout represents). Have you tried with the actual tang picture in there? Is a Yellow ubiquitous enough, or are there others that would prefer a Purple, maybe with a white outline to set it off?

Just thoughts... nice job!

I'm with you. The mountains were the first thing that I was going to edit. I have a job at work that has the mountains I am looking for, but heck if I'm going to drive there on a Sunday to email it to myself. As for the tang, good point. I will see if I can make it a little more significant to the average joe.

We can all use it for an avatar and also a future website as well ... ball caps / T shirts / sweatshirts etc can be sold to bring in speakers like Charles Delbeek, Steve Tyree and Anthony Calfo. We have to start somewhere and a logo is a good place to start

Cheers

But I could be wrong.

If I may, I think that's it not quite compact enough for what you're wanting to use it for. Also, sometimes process colours (wide ranges that must be printed using CMYK presses) are best avoided on logos due to the flexibility that is required, and it's, in my opinion, essential to do artwork for print in a vector application, that is, Coreldraw, Illustrator or Freehand (blah). But hey we'll find out when you run the vote right.

How would you change it to make it work ... I am not into image making but thought I would at least put something on the table to get the ball rolling
