![]() This things was easily 10 feet long
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 6 million gallons in the main tank, with 4 whale sharks, 2 hammerheads and 1 giant manta ray, as well as 50,000 other fish.....AMAZING. All photos with exception of the jellyfish and cuttlefish are from the main tank. There are 6 viewing areas including the tunnel. The last wednesday of every month (which was the day i went) they select people to dive in the tank.... This WAS the largest aquarium in the world until the one in Osaka, Japan was built....so as expected they werent happy being second best and are building a whole other wing to include dolphins and more marine life. They did have a reef tank, that was quite good, but for some reason had bubbles being pumped like mad throughout the tank, so i didnt get a single decent photo of the reef. They had a touch tank with numerous rays and some baby scallop head sharks, very cool. All in all, i spent about 5 hours there, and atleast 2 of that at the main tank. Well worth the $24 admission!! Thanks Christy |

![]() Yeah, I know. Buy stuff for the tank, or go to things like MACNA. Why are these mutually exclusive ?! Darn it all anyhow.
Awesome pictures. This is a place I want to go check out some year myself ..

Other than the aquarium, and a Braves game, there isnt too much worth while in Atlanta. Coke factory was pretty boring, as was CNN tour. But it is however only 3 hours to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina which is absolutely amazing. This little island has 23 golf courses and right on the ocean. It was great vacation |

![]() I have been thinking of using up some frequent flier points to go to the Georgia Aquarium, either that or go to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium.
I heard the Georgia Aquarium is terribly crowded. Would you say it is worth flying down there just to see the aquarium?
