Because you where able to remove it from the rock easily i'm assuming there is no hard skeleton, therefore assuming its an anemone. But i'm not sure which type, doesnt look like a majano, but then there is quite a few different types of majano's.

Ok now I have a lil more time to give a bit of info: had a 15g that the nem was originally placed in on the sand attached to a small rock, it proceeded to wedge itself under the rock for a couple days then hid under my magnetic algae scraper (probably didn't enjoy the ride...) then found it in the top corner hiding under the black plastic trim, managed to poke it off with a chopstick when I transferred everything to the 55g living in a jar since but anyways no skeleton moves around likes eating cooked shrimp scared of the light... Vampire nem?

Typically Mojanos like the light, that's how I persuade them to move.

I highly doubt it's a Majano because the foot isn't even close. That's why I would put it in the tank. If you don't want to, send it to me! I will try it out.
