If part of your Zoa was been ground up by your Vortec then that is the reason why your tank is cloudy. I would keep an eye on your Ammonia levels.

I have found that zoanthids hate plastic, whether its plugs or crazy glue.... I used to think that the heads were multiplying, but then realized that they were just creeping off the plastic plugs they were on. Not sure about the hazy water.

I did a 40% water change last night and right now everything it looking ok, still cloudy but not to bad.
All the fish are pigs tonight so thats good to see. I have to go with fishytime looking at were the Zoa's use to be all I see if glue, so what I think happened it that they just released themselves and got pulverized by the vortec releasing any toxicity they had.
