Tom is you want a imo the best macro lense out in the market with great sharpness and and clarity look into the Sigma 150mm f2.8 APO EX DG HSM Macro best macro lense in my opinion
I love my Canon 100mm F2.8 macro - cheaper, lighter, closer minimum focus distance than the Sigma and, well, it's a Canon.

im just saying the Sigma lens is a great lens (its definitely better then the Canon in Macro for sure), the canon 100mm f2.8 is a good lens too, until you need the pictures blew up into big poster sizes but the average reefer dont need pictures in 11x 14 sizes

Traditionally I would trust a Canon Lens over a Sigma. But you have my curiosity. Is it just sharpness you are finding between the 2 lenses.

I'm gonna have to look into this.

Thanks for the info
