Sorry to hear about your shoulder Randi.
Where do you push ink, I've gotten some work done by Paul at Smiling Buddha. Ah yes Brag Creek, I do miss that neck of the woods I remember fondly ridding my bike from NW Calgary up to Elbow Falls just for something to do on a Sunday. ![]()

QUOTE] Thanks I work at Impact Body Art, which is downtown, but know Paul well. Lucky you for getting him to work on you, I've known the man for 6 years and he won't tattoo me...he's more into doing the appearances now, he's put his time into the industry, it's time the industry look after him. The guy is one of the founding fathers of tattooing in Calgary, he has nothing but my respect...(except for when there's too much sake involved at the sushi house...then there usually is a sushi war....)

I usually drop the weight in the summer when I start biking again but the last couple of years I have been gaining more in the winter then I was dropping in the summer. It was time to add something different into the mix.. We'll see what this does for me. Can't hurt anyway.. or so I keep telling myself.

Meh, loving the medical system - finally got my appointment with Dr wiley (ortho - not surgeon) at the U of C sports med clinic today... Got refered April 9th - appt may 22nd... Luckily, sounds like I've actually done enough damage to my knee this time around to be a surgical candidate (they've been letting it get worse for the past few years because they don't think they can do further arthroscopic - too many already - thus it's gotta be 'bad' before they'll do more).
But like you guys - lb's have packed on over the past 5 years - mostly because I can't do much walking, hiking or biking before the knee flares up and I end up back on crutches... Yet last 2 years orthopaedic referals have gotten me all of 'you need to loose 60lbs to hit your BMI' - very useful information and advice, given about all I can manage because of the knee problems is 20-30 minutes a day on the eliptical trainer... And the medical system wonders why people look at medical tourism...

my shoulder was in bad shape after the first surgery and I was reffered to Dr. Richard Boorman. All this guy does is shoulders and elbows and i was doing well after the second operation, but he told me that once you have a shoulder operation it's only a matter of time before you're looking at partial to complete replacement, which is what i'm looking at now...woot woot

You'll be like a cyborg! Make sure you don't get some of that self-aware metal though. I watch Terminator. Mmm, more Summer Glau kicking butt, please, and less of this "Sarah Conner's weirdo dreams" stuff. It's so depressing!

Oh man sorry to hear that! Sucks.
I have a routine of going to the gym three times a week and really stick with it. Just becomes 'normal'. But since learning I am going to be living in 30 degree weather all year round (less clothes), I have really felt the need to get in even better shape! LOL So what I am saying is that you should plan to move somewhere HOT all year round and then you will feel the pressure to get in great shape ![]() or just get there and sweat it all away I guess. |

well I am planning on going back to Italy for a couple months.... that might be the kick I need. That and I don't think I've worn a pair of shorts since I played soccer, so I have nicely coloured knees and pasty white everywhere else on my legs. It's time to get these puppies tanned and show off the tattoos....

I go for a run every morning. (Because I sleep in and have to run out the door to the car. lol)
I've allways weighed between 140-150 pounds and have been very lean my entire life. This year when I turned 43, I got an instant belly. I mean, just at that moment in time I went from 150 to 160. Not all that much, but it seemed instantanious. I better do something before this gets out of hand. I hope you feel better soon.
