![]() I have seen people build rim's from Wood trim. Or are you thinking Eurobracing style? I personally love the rimless look. On all tanks, just looks clean and modern
Heres a couple links to thickness calculators http://www.theaquatools.com/building-your-aquarium http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/aqu...customtank.htm

![]() well some say i need EuroBrace and some say i don't But i want it to be strong Also i did Calculate my thinckness and it came out to 5mm is what i could use thats 1mm i think below so i would use 1/4,
Right now im just looking for that push to say that will work everything looks good so i can get started but haven't heard much yet so now i wait for that person. Place that im stumped the most on is whats the strongest way to do the base i see there are 2 ways to do this. ![]() Last edited by Steve-O-; 04-28-2009 at 09:23 PM. |

![]() #1 is the stronger way (apparently, although I have no idea why)
also make sure you account for the thickness of the glass on both sides of the tank. I noticed you accounted for the glass on only one side. IE 22x22 -1 18x22 -2 18x21 1/2 -2 21 1/2 not 3/4 Make sure you clean the glass with acetone very well and you shouldn't have any problems. Use pieces of duct tape to hold the glass together while the silicone cures
