![]() We recently got a new MH bulb, which has been heating up our tank quite a bit. Then, at night, when the light is off, the tank temperature drops. It's fluctuating from 76.9 to 78.1
What would okay parameters for tank fluctuation be? Just wondering exactly how bad this is, and what could we use to resolve it? We were thinking of a cooling fan. Is there any alternative measures?? Thanks in advance.

![]() That doesn't seem like to bad of a fluctuation... I have been using a cooling fan to keep my temperature constant with my controller. When the temperature goes above 78 the cooling fan kicks in and cools it down, then turns off when its below a certain temp.

![]() That's fine, you won't have any issues with that.

![]() that's a fluctuation of 1.2 degrees farenhiet, pretty minimal.
a difference of 3-5 degrees farenhiet and I would start thinking of a chiller.
