![]() What are the little red dots on this zoa? I got this from a fellow reefer and with all the flatworm's and bugs going around im a little concerned. Thanks for any help.

![]() Looks like flatworms to me.
Some wrasses will eat them, flatworm exit will help, but I find not totaly erradicate the problem. |

![]() try using a pippette and suck them off the rock. If you can they probably are flatworms. Do they ever move around?
I had a minor flatworm problem and bought a six-line wrasse and havnt seen any since. (seahorses eat em too) Some can be pretty small like 1mm. Last edited by aquatic_rice; 04-15-2009 at 05:30 PM. |

![]() These are flatworms... Much larger than what you have by the looks of it. I still have flatworms in my tank, and none are as small as what you have there in your picture.

![]() don't look like FW to me. suck a few out with a pipette and look really really closely. does it look like it has a clam-like bivalved shell? if so, you have ostracods... they're like a tiny shrimp in a shell. most of them are simple herbivores or detritivores.

![]() I say to be safe give it a nice flatworm exit bath then give it an Iodine bath just as a pre-caution, you don't want any unwanted visitors spreading in your tank.
