Help with ID please

What are the little red dots on this zoa? I got this from a fellow reefer and with all the flatworm's and bugs going around im a little concerned. Thanks for any help.

Looks like flatworms to me.

Some wrasses will eat them, flatworm exit will help, but I find not totaly erradicate the problem.

just for size reference they are about the size of a pin head. I thought flatworms were bigger?

try using a pippette and suck them off the rock. If you can they probably are flatworms. Do they ever move around?

I had a minor flatworm problem and bought a six-line wrasse and havnt seen any since. (seahorses eat em too)

Some can be pretty small like 1mm.

These are flatworms... Much larger than what you have by the looks of it. I still have flatworms in my tank, and none are as small as what you have there in your picture.

don't look like FW to me. suck a few out with a pipette and look really really closely. does it look like it has a clam-like bivalved shell? if so, you have ostracods... they're like a tiny shrimp in a shell. most of them are simple herbivores or detritivores.

I say to be safe give it a nice flatworm exit bath then give it an Iodine bath just as a pre-caution, you don't want any unwanted visitors spreading in your tank.
