Default 10G setup

Hey guys been a real long time since i have been here, So im slowly gettin myself back into the scene. I was real heart broken when i lost my job and my 75g tank crashed.

Anyways im starting a 10g tank for now here is the specs:

9lbs of LR
20lbs LiveSand

My question is really about the lighting i have my old setup still that had 2- 150w HQI MH with 20k bulbs. Now will 1 of these be to much for my 10g hanging 1 1/2 or 2 feet above the tank. Most likely the addiction will come back full force and when i get more money ill be hooking my 75 back up lol
Anyways any help would be great about the lights

I would say, first off, move up to a 15G (24x12x12). It will give you a lot more room to play around with and more space for fish/corals/etc. It's also much easier finding lights that will fit a 15G than the 10.

Just my opinion though. Always nice to see new nanos!

It shouldn't be. Generally 150s are recommended for 18" depths. Be sure you're measuring from the back/top of the reflector (where the bulb is connected if a pendant, or the top most part of the reflector if otherwise)

yes,. 18" to the bottom. If you're planing on only going softies you should be fine with your light at that level
