Im really hoping to drop a SR20DET into mine...from what I hear it shouldn't be too hard for a beginner backyard mechanic like myself.

that all depends on how "beginer" you are...?
Ive put 2 of them in 510's and one in a 240sx. Ive also fabricated parts for one in a GtiR. They are a fairly basic swap if you have the right parts, its when you do a whole makeover that they can get complicated and very pricey!!!
