The 1st gen used a transformer that looked like a hockey puck and had a larger controller, the new ones have a smaller black box transformer (other than smaller and lighter don't know the diff) and the controller is now much smaller. My old one kept overheating and going into alarm mode, the replacement that was sent has been operating for three months now without issue. Only reason I am thinking of selling is to free up some space in the tank.

Yea cause a 300g with a 6ft by 3ft footprint has gotta be kinda cramped

You dont notice your wavebox what with the huge colonies you have growing around it but with my tiny little sticks of coral it looks like a big black buss parked at the end of the tank
