If you transfer the fish quickly you'll have problems. A drip acclimation over a few hours will work but I prefer to slowly raise the SG of the QT tank to 1.018 over a week or so and then do the drip. |

Just to make sure here. So you mean when I get a new fish I can really just. more or less, dump it right into a QT with a SG of around 1.010-1.013, which is pretty much hyposlainity? But when I move it to the display the process of going to higher SG has to be slow? I read about going down is okay but going up is troublesome because it causes dehydration. Is that why?
