Default Our latest addition - Red Rhizo Rhizotrochus

We are ecstatic over this interesting coral, and new addition to our tank.

Originally from the coast of Japan, found in deeper cool waters, very personable and fun to interact with.

Looks a bit like a giant dendro. Neat.

I can't say that I think I've heard "personable" used to describe a coral before.

Kind of cool to see it open its mouth and wait for you to notice and give it a Silver Side which it greedily takes from your fingers by closing its mouth on the fish and slowly working it in with its tentacles. Bit of a slow process, but it wouldn't be quite as fun if it was over too quick. We really have to get a life.

I got it from Dan at Aquatic Addictions. I did a little work for him so he gave me a great deal. He had more there last week. I would give him a call to see at 1-604-625-2182. My wife and I have always found Dan and Nikki to be very fair on the Corals and I know that right now they are chocked full with stock. Hope this helps.

From what we've read and been told, it seems that every 2 or 3 days is fine. So far "Seymour" (Little Shop Of Horrors) is doing fine with every second day depending on the size of fish. On the off chance that we are the only people to name a Coral........please ignore this post, it never happened.
