![]() As the previous owner up this light I can say it is nice. Heavy unit but worked well nice and bright.
I ran it with aquconnect 14K bulbs.

![]() I was thinking it might be OK for my 90, but after some thought I think I will hang in there until I can afford a 48" Tek with 8 bulbs.

![]() It's up to you...depends what your needs are I guess. I already have a 36" Tek and really like it. I just want more intensity for my 90 gallon tank. The 36" Tek will go back to my old 46 gallon tank when I can get the new Tek. I am only keeping LPS in the 90, and will not try SPS until I get new lights.

![]() I had 2 150w x giessman 13k in my 48"X16"X22" bowfront tank (72 gal) and had no problem with sps...
I never tried them lower than halfway down, but I had great color moderate growth and every one of them encrusted to the rock they were glued to. I DID have to go with a little yellower/whiter light than I wanted to get better penetration and spectrum but all in all, I was surprised by how well 2x 150 w de halides worked for this size tank. don't get me wrong, I upgraded, but for the price he's charging, you can afford to later too IMO. |
