I'm putting my money on it being a Octopus rubescens, which does stay quite small.

I'm changing my guess to O. mercatoris, pictures show very similar characteristics. Plus I think my last guess is a cold water species so that can't be right

Congrats man, I was wondering when your Octo would show up! I can't see the video out at work but I should be home in a couple days and might need to get some sps frags from ya lol!

Yeah for sure, I don't have a frag tank setup anymore so anything I cut I just end up throwing out, come by and I'll set you up.
