Was all over Burnaby today picking up livestock

Ended up missing the frag auction, which is fine since I found some sweet deals on zoas and fish.

Added a Kole Tang and Powder Brown tang. To my surprise there was really no aggression from the other tangs after the first 10 minutes. I am very happy to see them all getting along without issue. I guess the tank is big enough for the old tangs not to feel too threatened.

This rules out the Sailfin now and thats kind of why I got the Powder Brown instead. I think the Sailfin needs a bigger tank than my 200 long term.

Also added a Spotted Hawk Fish and bubbletip anemone.

I will take some pics in a little bit.

Many of the corals that seemed to brown after the tank move are already doing quite well again. Most of the color is coming back. Some have remained brown though

Oh and a male blue damsel (havent seen them too often). It found the female right away and they have been together ever since. Kind of nice to see them pair up so fast.

Got a few decent pics but I had to turn off the left side halide to do so. No flash, so the color is a little dark but close to actual I guess.

I will take proper coral pics soon since these ones are all about the fish! Water is quite murky too since I was moving rocks around a bit.

The new Powder Brown

The new Hawk

Bit of a group shot...you can see they are all getting along no problem. I am still so shocked about this. I figured there would be way more than 10 minutes of chasing.

You can see the Kole Tang in the middle of this pic.

Boy is the Powder Brown ever active! He really zips around the tank much faster than the other tangs.

I would say he is by far the most active, followed by the Hippo, and Kole. The Yellow is kind of mellow and slow and the Naso seems to just constantly be in cruise control

Naso has to be my favorite still!

Its also incredible how much filament algae the Kole Tang has eaten off the back glass already. He is a busy little guy too.

When I find I'm getting a lot of filament algae in my tank I actually stop feeding for a day or two and it's all taken care of by the tang and foxface.

I haven't really had much at all yet but I will keep that in mind. Not so sure it would work though with my tank because I have a bad feeling the tusk would get cranky if I skipped a day of feeding!

I guess the tank has been set up a week now or almost and I have yet to clean the front glass. Hasn't needed it.

I am interested to see what running ZEO right from the get go this tie does for the tank. After all the massive water changes or I guess additions to fill this tank, nitrates are now at 3. So I am starting ZEO with very low nitrates this time. That is 3 after a week of having the tank running...wish I would have tested day 1.

The full tank, still with just the one halide on...I still have a whole open side to work with on the left

LOTS more room...mostly for LPS I think.
