For the record, we went to Rona afterward and fixed their shelf for them. Dan was horrified and didn't want to let us fix it but I figure they're busy enough serving food to worry about whether someone else might hang up a coat on the boobytrapped coat rack.

The reason it fell out in the first place (besides the 60lb parkas these guys had hanging up) was that it was missing one screw, and the remaining screw on that side was in a fairly distressed hole. I'd say it's not the first time that coat rack has fallen off.

I still cannot fathom how the dude's hat got under our table. It was a really surreal moment when we looked under the table and there was this raccoon-like thing by one of our feet (it wasn't really stepped on, I might have embellished that detail for comic effect). But still, it would have had to roll 6 feet one day, turn around a booth, then roll 6 feet the other way. Maybe he was sitting at this booth when he first got there and then when all the others showed up they moved to the bigger tables and he forgot it there.

That's my story anyhow and I'm sticking with it.

PS. He said I made a "scene"? I'm not sure I like the sound of that. A scene is someone going out of their way to be noticed, I was doing anything I could NOT to be noticed. And then a damn coat rack fell on me with their 60 lb parkas. Jeepers, what do they keep in their pockets anyhow? Lead ballast???

I wonder how much the fine is for going 102 on Deerfoot? 31.2 in a school zone?

You'll be sure to let us know right Tony?

He had a good laugh over it. The way he said it was "so this guy is going to hang up some coats, I'm looking around at the crowd and CRASH!! I look over, there's all our coats toppled over on this guy who looks like he'd rather be anywhere at this point in time"

I laughed and finished the rest of the story for him as told by "the guy". He says it made everyone laugh, not a problem..

and kudos to you for fixing the shelf. Standup guy

Ever stand on a ladder with a screwdriver with 1 screw in your hand and just when you go to screw it in the it falls ... looking beneath the ladder would be too obvious because when a screw ( or policemans hat ) falls it grows legs and scoots off to a spot you would never imagine

Funny! Do you stay home on friday the 13th. If I were you I would, lol When I was a kid
we used to go swimming at the Holyburn country club with my cousins. This one day we
were sitting at the counter, and do any of you remember how they used to stack coffee
cups on tray's. Well they had them stacked super high. And I said to my cousin it would
be really freaky if those fell. And no word of a lie not ten minute's later guess what, it
happened. They made everyone who did not have a meal leave. I was only about 12 year's old at the time, scared the crap out of me. The noise it made and glass everywhere left a huge dent in the milk dispenser thingy remember them they had the
little titty that you cut open and voila milk. Arn't you glad I shared this becareful of what you think or wish for story. Oh and be nice to me or else. He He!
