So picked up the muriatic acid and gave it a try. I applied it with a sponge and then wipped it off with a paper towel withour letting the acid dry.
NO LUCK. Should I let the acid dry? Any application tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Tyler

How is the muriatic acid on the silicone seams?? Do you have to reseal the tank if you do that? Or is it inert on the silicone?
