Yes rona brand is cheap but if you cant find it then GE 1 or 2 door and window, 100% rubber silicone w/ no milldew or ant fungal additives.. I've repaired about 100 tanks with great success.. both for either complete rebuilds or re sealing..

Thanks for the help. I am going to take the whole tank apart and then start from there. Here is the original post. I still dont trust the thing. The shot is from the back to the front.

Acetone works really great to clean the glass after removing the old silicone. I can't remember the order now but I think you should use the rubbing alcohol after the acetone...or the other way around...

Will acetone remove the residue left after stripping silicone?
