![]() the stuff from bulk reef supply is like $2.50 a pound then the shipping then the 12 or 13 cent taxes then the exchangerate and fees wich was 26% last time i ordered so it worked out around $6 per pound if i was gonna order it, live rock is usually 5.99 at the cheepest and usually 7.99 or 8.99/lb sometime 9.99 depending on the rock
ive bought caribsea reefrock before but its gone up in price plus shipping doubles its price so im not shure what it costs now but its real dense and you dont get a choice of the rocks you get it just like a surprise when you open the box, ive had boxes with 10 smaller rocks and ive had boxes with 3 rocks in it

![]() I say go for the stuff www.bulkreefsupply.com has. Even if it works out to $5/lb (and it does) you have to remember that it is DRY WEIGHT, so 50 lbs of dry base rock is WAAAAY more rock than 50 lbs of wet live rock, so the savings is quite a lot. Also be aware that it will take several months for the dry base rock to blend in with the live rock.

but i did score a nice 25lb piece that i could never afford if it was in the live tank |
