from what i've heard, nautiluses are basicaly one of the worst aquarium specimens you can get.
they just kinda hang out in one corner for a good 20 minutes then move to another corner for another 20 minutes.

they are kinda like sharks(other than certain bottom dwelling species). They look kool, but really aren't meant for the aquarium.

but thats just my $0.02

I don't know whether they are stressed but they ooze an ink that clouds the water when they are stressed.
