Agreed...soooo boring
I think that if you wanted to keep costs down, you could do a very nice softie tank, with Ecorox, bare-bottom, a fishneedit.com light and a bubble magus HOB skimmer. Put fish in as you see fit. I'd be surprised if you spent much less on a Cichlid tank. Especially with all the locals having softies to frag from. It's just an idea though.

what about DL 88 has those 2 400 w pendants if you are looking you have probably seen them right,..

Ya I did see them, thanks though.
I think they would create much of a spotlight on my 36" tank, and I don't want to deal with the heat issues of 400w. |

Well if you are interested in a MH Canopy I have a 2x175W MH SE, 2x55W PC Canopy. It has a ballast the runs all 4 bulbs. Going for 250. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, but I see your canopy is 48", and my tank is only 36" otherwise you may have had a deal.
