![]() Hi
The Bio and Bak will bring down the PO4, Min-S can not increase PO4 as there is no PO4 in it, it is an amino acid no organic compound, the PO4 will be coming from residual in the tank which we discussed on the phone that the Bio will resolve combined with the Bak. This is being sent today. As we discussed on the phone the first clam would never latch from new and was always wandering around, this is a clear sign of weakness and time will always weed out the weak, the other one as you said never grew or opened up so again, the strong will thrive the really weak no matter what you did will fade. Ultra Clam food in many occassions have saved ropey clams from going over the edge, but that is dependant on some very regular small target feeding and also that they have not gone too far already. We have a dealer in Ottawa that target feeds his new imports for two weeks before releasing for sale and has not had a loss since. (he will be a sponsor here very soon also ) With the new dosing of clam - Bak - min-S and the Bio for your PO4 within 1 week you will see even greater results. ![]() Just so everyone knows here that my clams weren't doing to good in the first like I stated in the past 2 posts back.. so Please don't think that the Ultra Clam, and the fauna Marin caused it.. if any thing it helped them for a little bit until they finally were pulled from my tank so that they wouldn't pollute my tank..
I have nothing but excellent response in my tank from this trial.. My SPS have been doing awesome and have shown great color. I have indeed slowed down on my feedings since i was feeding a little to much, may be that was the cause of the PO 4 going up. I think that its is caused from the phosban taken off line. I was using that alot to suck out any PO 4 in the water and tank . I cant wait to get the BIO , Claude and Mike have been great talking with me and explaining all. once i get the PO4 sorted out. and the SPS start growing more the tank will have to start to be pruned. I can see me in the future using more of the BAK, BIO, MIn S to keep the tank going.

![]() You are doing a great job with this review and we have had so many positive feedback over it
![]() In one month from now I think people will be amazed at the transformation in your corals and clams. Taking the phosban off will be the result of the raised PO4 but using the Bio and Bak will keep that in check at 0 value, but just remember what i said about Bio, it is a powerful bacterial culture and dosing little to start with is paramount. For everyone reading - Fauna Products do what they say they do, they are dosed according to instruction, i know many are used to lumping in an un measured amount of trace elements and then in a month wondering what effect that really had, now put correctly measured amunts of Fauna products in the tank and you see visible changes in a week. We had a case in point recently, a user had been spending out monthly on iodine strontium and heavy metal trace elements and had no idea what they were supposed to do and also saw no benefit either other than a hole in his wallet monthly, so we switched him to Ultra power trace elements, and over night his brown SPS started to show signs of green, he now has full coloured SPS in less than a month. Testimant to using a product that does what it claims ![]() |

As I have the baby sister tank ![]() Of course, one will never know but its something I have always wondered when reading articles on various methods of running a reef tank.

![]() Hiya
this is a good thought and the only way of knowing is by reviews such as this and also own personal trials. back in the UK with my 120 gal set up (no sump) I used to spend many $$$$ on additives because i was told I needed them, did I ever see any difference? Heck no! (I was not using fauna by the way) the tank was full of brown sps struggling to say the least. When we emigrated I gave away the whole contents to a very deserved cause, who ran fauna products, within a month all corals had the colour they should do and he was fragging them as fast as he could keep up. I have tried various additives in many years of fish keeping and taking my sales hat off (up to you to believe me or not that it is off) but fauna is a product that does exactly what it says "when added as directed". IT is not a product to throw in random doses and walk away, but follow the instructions and watch the results. The guy I mentioned about the power traces changing his coral colour over night is Lorin on RC (kidney514) please feel free to ask him, I was not aware of this story until he came round to pick up supplies for a Montreal dealer on Sunday that has a huge repeat client base for the product range now. Dealers tend to test products like this first before commiting, and this dealer (amongst others) now rates the product very highly. But back to your valid thought, I encourage everyone to try at least one product from Fauna maybe match to a product you already use, try it for a month and see the results. |

![]() good point Mike, I wonder if or does it matter if the tank is big or small. lots of people say that a small reef tank is harder to keep up with then a larger one due to the water chem changing. that would be cool to see thou 2 reviews with the same corals but different tanks. 150 VS 20 might be cool to track... where Doug has the same corals as I do since I they are fragged from my tank.....

I did have a problem of getting my SPS to have some color and polyop extension now after using the fauna marin, the polyops are pretty much ripping out of the SPS and the clams are coloring up nicely too, the colors in the tank are looking alot better... ![]() ![]() have to show you this green Acro the PE is crazy about 20 mins of feeding the tank... ![]() ![]() ![]() check out hte color and the PE on this one ![]() ![]()
