I am curious as to what the average survival rate is with shipping?
How do we create a forum wide pole? or has one been done? I am not talking about any specific vendors - I would like to know what I should expect as a survival rate in general... any ideas??? |

just create a general poll for people who ordered this past year
Then as what % of frags survived so I had 2 out of 5 that would be 40% |

Ive placed 3 or 4 frag orders from Snappy in the last few months and had 100% survival.. and these were all SPS frags. IMO it all hinges on the packaging. Anything less than 100% survival isnt acceptable to me. |

I participated on this order too and the last with burc. In total I am finding a 50% survival rate for SPS frags. I find with SPS time it takes to ship is critical and temp. 24hrs even from Calgary is dicey. Packing the bags with pure oxygen works, I used to recieve shipments form Germany in this way.

It really help also,if the frags aren't fresh cut, like shelley pointed out about gregs 100% survival rate.He frags and they sit for weeks,or a month before they get shipped.his packing is amazing.Burc has a good product, and sure has a wide nice selection.
