When I lived in Arizona I heard this, tried it and no it doesn't work...at least on the scorpions I tried it on. I tried it twice and both times the scorpion just walked away. Jack Daniels by the way. Maybe if they don't like the brand they go nuts and would rather die then drink it?

Yeah but maybe it was just these particular scorpions. They were quite large and tough. I bet the smaller ones (quarter size) wouldn't handle the liquor so well. I just never tried it.
