In all honesty, you could set one up like mine for under 100$ Mine cost me less than 50$, but I had lr and sand already.... |

![]() Nope, very simple set up.
Just a regular 5.5, with an 18w Coralife 50/50 cf light (cost me 30$) and a rio skilter which cost me (20$)... I made a drip, as evap was pretty bad, by just putting a 2L coke bottle with a couple of tubes drilled into the lid (one for siphon and one with a ball valve for the dripping) in a cupboard above/behind it to keep salinity and water level in check. added a dsb and some chaeto and a tiny powerhead I had from an old freshwater filter and now I have a nice little system for about 50 bucks, not including the tank (which might run you about 20-30$). |
