ordering ro di kit

I know that redcoral has devoleped their own custom branded ro/di and are selling them now in calgary, give those guys a call and im sure its a good product and reasonably priced.

Dont use the shark bites ... they will inevitably leak .. everytime !!!
I'm a plumber by trade and would strongly advise against those fittings as a permanant solution .. as a temp ok but never as a permanant solution ..

anyways i opted for it and ordered it tonight its only 4 stg instead of 5 stg but i figure BC water is so clean anyway im over it haha

You mean you did order the four stage Aquasafe one?

Thats the one I have now and the one I used to use was only four stage and I never had problems in the past. I agree it may have to do with BC water being so good to begin with.

EDIT: I guess mine is 5 stage...

this is the one i ordered it says set of 4 pre and post filters...........4 stage ?yet it has 5 canisters? i dunno

If you're ordering from the USA, there's another supplier that a chap on another board swears by, the Premium Series 75 gpd by Buckeye Field Supply. No personal experience but this guy says it's the best bang for your buck (pun intended) for value with some essential extras which others charge more for.

Yeah thats why I was wondering how many stages it is...I don't know.

But I do know a bunch of people using them and are very happy.

Yeah I find it a pain ordering from the US...something just always seems to go wrong for me.

I am just setting mine up actually and I think that last stage you see in the pics is the water polisher? For drinking water? I think thats what puts taste back into the water (TDS) and you don't want to use that for aquariums. I am still waiting for confirmation on that though before I use mine.

^ The Ironic thing is that aquasafe systems is located in Vancouver but only deal with strictly shipping, no pick ups what so ever. When I bought mine off ebay it was around the same price after shipping and you have to wait 2 weeks. Because they're in North Van they should atleast open buisness to customers that live in the same city you would think!

The last part you wont need unless you plan on drinking and cooking with it aswell as use on your tank I have used it with and without with no ill effects. It doesnt add tds back into your water what it does is give it taste as rodi taste quite bad.
