Sorry I know these were not SMS questions, I'm considering getting a Profilux controller and was wondering what email capabilities come without the SMS option. Although, the SMS features seem really cool, they may not be in the budget for the initial purchase.

You do not need a LAN or WLAN card for this the software (which is free for life) does this for you.

All you need is the profilux connected to a pc that is online

You can schedule and automate it yes.
