Good timing for me to see this thread... I just finished using some epoxy to place a frag and after reading this I figured I should go check on my skimmer (It's the HOB type in a room with carpet). It was just starting to go nuts so I just unplugged it for the time being. Thanks for the heads up.

That is why i use that stuff called PC marine. I found it on Reef Central. sorry for using that name on Canreef. look up on Home depot or home hardware they can order it in for a box like that its 6.95 and the skimmer doenst over flow

Is the exact name PC Marine? I was going to pick up the DD stuff but now I'm thinking twice about it. I may have to go visit home depot instead.

I've never had a problem with the aquascape epoxy (coralline algae colour) but hated holdfast as it didnt really hold anything fast or hold at all.

+1 I cant remember the brand I used for my tank, mind you I did let it cure for a week in the air before adding it to the tank. not sure if that saved the hassle or if its the brand.. now what was the brand....

I use the purple Aquascape and have never had a problem, I use rubber gloves when kneading it. I've tried the green stuff but didn't it stuck as well and it works up white.
