Yep 8 T5's are pretty bright, hard to tell still without anything in the tank but it looks pretty good, just have the stock current-usa bulbs right now(pretty low on the par scale)
Water test completed, a couple plumbing leaks but nothing major. Considering throwing in a SCWD on my returns.
Tested the skimmer with water and vinegar, I am surprised at how quiet the bubble magus is...almost silent.
Seems like one 3/4 overflow drain is just barely enough, didn't have to close the gate very much to get at a good level.
Also tested the emergency overflow and everything seems to be in order.
Time to start filling with RO! (I can tell...my fish are getting excited)

Update after 2 months LOL, algae is coming on strong but nothing too serious.
Got a couple Bangers a while ago and they have settled in well.

Built my cap for the 2 sets of T5's, with a few problems along the way, mostly heat issues.
Made the canopy in two pieces and hinged the middle so I could open either half (front or back)

Too much heat from the lights so I opened up the top

That pretty much solved it for now... we'll see in the summer.
Full tank shot

Recently added more rock and corals more pics to come...

Lookin good. I noticed from your pics that your emergency drain changed colors. Was the first one in your 6th post to tall? Looked awfully close to me in the pic.
