I wanted to end some confusion surrounding Zeovit and help increase awareness of what it is, and what it can do for you.

What is it? First and foremost it is a brand name. An offering of Korallen-Zucht in Germany.

What do they do? They created and offer the "Zeovit System" which is a unique method of maintaining your aquarium. Also, they offer a line of aquarium products comprised of items specifically for use in the Zeovit system and in the everyday reef aquarium.

What's so different? Compared to the traditional approaches to maintaining your aquarium the big difference would be an even greater reliance on bacteria to promote system stability and low nutrient levels. Also, many of the products target specific needs not met by the other brands on the market.

How do I use the system, or where can I learn more? The "Zeovit Guide" was created to support the Zeovit user and to help walk them through the complete setup and routine maintenance. Many of the ideas in the guide are useful regardless of whether or not you want to implement the full system.
