Hehe yeah I guess you could say I like SPS. I used to be SPS with some softies but the chemical warfare made it difficult to be successful as both looked like crapola so I decided to go strictly SPS. Although I've been branching out lately with all the really neat LPS that have been coming in (mostly a matter or being in the right place at the right time). I've got a couple tiny acan frags in there and a couple blastos and stuff. Still mostly SPS though. If I were rich I'd be right in there with the aussie acans thats for sure

I know, I miss it too I kept a couple pieces of it and they're coming along. They should be more apparent in the tank by next year or so

Nice looking 90G - love the SPS! Keep on top of the "red stuff" you captured in some of your pics. Should it get to be too much work, well you can use red slime removed in an SPS tank with confidence. Nice tank.

Thanks for the compliments guys

So far I've just been doing the old turkey baster/water change method, sometimes it works sometimes not. The slime really seems to like a few pieces so those that aren't nailed down have been moved along to somewhere else, so far so good. I've been moving the powerheads around in case its due to *gasp* coral growth! but this stuff is pretty persistent and even when the polyps are waving about the red slime has a pretty good foothold and ain't goin nowhere unless its direct flow.

I'm really hesitant to use the red slime remover at this point. I think I'll just fight the good fight a bit longer as I've had other algaes that were more dastardly than this one, so far I can handle it
