![]() Thanks for the link I have not had a chance to read the article, but for algae growth you want around 5500k to 6500k for best growth.
They need a lot more than just light though and will clash in low nutrient systems.

![]() Many people grow all sorts of macro no problem with PC bulbs. I use a Philips 23w spiral "daylight" bulb (6500k) and I grow plenty of chaeto.
