![]() I think that's fine, just as long as it doesn't touch bottom as detritus build up pretty quickly. Maybe you did end up with a dud? Any chance of a return/exchange since it's new?

![]() Shut off all you pumps and stuff in the sump and try again. Even a tiny bit of stray voltage can make a pH probe act funny.

![]() Bought a new "Generic" probe. The Neptune probe was reading the tank at 7.94, calibrated the new one and it is reading the tank @ 8.21 and it is stable !!!!!!!! The cal reactor is finally turned on!!!!!!!!! Stupid probe. It is amazing how much stress a probe can cause. I couldn't figure out why the Ph was low and everything else was normal. Again STUPID PROBE, Stupid electronics, but boy I love them when they work HAHAHAHAHA.

![]() I hear ya... I have 2 just in case... 1 inside the calc reactor and the other in the sump... if either goes below a certain pH, the CO2 gets turned off... can't trust just 1... it's probably overkill
